Weber Alpha HSM Label Applicator
The Alpha HSM (High Speed Modular) is our new modular design that is based on various components that can be combined into the right system to meet your requirements.
No two packaging lines are the same these days, with many companies demanding more flexibility for new automated labeling equipment to fit their existing production lines. The Weber Alpha HSM is the solution – a new label applicator that can be configured to fit just about any packaging line.
The Solution
The Alpha HSM (High Speed Modular) is our new modular design that is based on various components that can be combined into the right system to meet your requirements.
The modules consist of a drive module, a label detection module, a dispensing module, an unwinder module, a rewinder module and an adapter module. These can be assembled according to a customers specifications using our configurator to create the perfect label applicator for their product line.
With the packaging industry asking for higher labeling speeds and more flexibility, the Alpha HSM high speed labelling systems can be configured in a variety of models that can handle multiple speeds and label sizes.
Weber engineered the modular Alpha HSM so that it can be ordered in ten different versions to fit just about any labeling application. Available in right- or left-hand versions, the Alpha HSM can be built with 135, 200, 250 and 320 mm label widths.
IP65
The Alpha HSM is IP65 certified for dust and water spray protection and is constructed of durable aluminum with high rigidity for all working label widths, and even wash down areas.
Interfacing
All the systems feature multiple interfaces allowing connections for HMI display, product detector, rotary encoder, I/O signal, Ethernet network, and an aux in and aux out for sensor attachment. Three different user interfaces are available including OLED display, external PLC module or a web-based control.
Modular Options
The standard mechanical label unwinder and rewinder can be upgraded to a motorized servo-controlled system for higher labeling throughput speeds. Label application modules for the HSM include a fixed peeler plate, a swiveling peeler plate, a pneumatic peeler plate, and adjustable peeler plate or a pneumatic applicator. Label sensors can handle standard and transparent labels.

The Markoprint ZTV HP is a Central Ink Supply (CIS) system stores up to 400ml of ink for Markoprint HP Class inkjet printing systems such as the Markoprint integra One, Markoprint X2JET / X4JET, and Markoprint integra Quadro.
The large ink tank prevents frequent cartridge replacements from lowering your Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). It can hold up to four single HP cartridges repaying you rapidly thanks to reduced ink prices. For non-interrupted production, the system can be paired with our NonStopPrinting printhead. Using an interface directly on the cartridge, current ink filling levels are monitored in real time. When the levels in the bulk tank fall below a certain threshold, a valve to the bulk tank opens and automatically refills it.

The Geset 125 labelling system is used to label cylindrical products automatically. Depending on the type and dimension of the product, different label sizes are used. The products are fed manually or by a conveying system provided by the customer at an infeed passage of the labelling system. Care should be taken on accurate alignment of the products between the two freely mounted rollers of the roll conveyor. The side guide’s position the products flush with the outside edge of the roll conveyor.
The roll conveyor feeds the products to the labeller. There the label is applied with the part running forward onto the product and it is pushed by rotation and the back pressure of the wrapping unit onto the product. The back pressure of the wrapping unit (the speed of the wrapping unit is twice as fast as the speed of the base conveyor) enables the product in rotation. The roll conveyor forwards the finished labelled products to the outfeed. Here the products are removed manually or by the customer’s conveying system.

Labeling systems are not always easy to integrate into preexisting production lines. The Markoprint Integra One can be easily integrated into production processes thanks to its compact dimensions of 186 x 86 x 98 mm. The printing system has a display for data entry as well as system settings modification and verification. This information can also be viewed from mobile devices if the WLAN version is selected.
Inkjet printers should be properly protected if they are subjected to harsh manufacturing circumstances. In addition, the Markoprint integra One ip has an IP 65 protection rating. As a result, it’s ideal for use in the food industry.
